Sarah Jessica Parker has hit back at the 'double standards' of critics of her Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw.
Parker played Bradshaw for six seasons in Sex and the City, and has reprised the iconic role for the revival series, And Just Like That.

The character of Bradshaw has been criticised online for being "self-centred" and for having an affair with a married man while she was in a relationship.

In an interview with Huffington Post, Parker admitted Bradshaw "made mistakes", but pointed out that female characters are often judged more harshly than males.

"I would simply say that smart people make bad decisions sometimes [and] are foolish in judgement," she said.

The conflict between Iran and Israel has entered its sixth day, with no sign of de-escalation and US President Donald Trump calling for Iran's "unconditional surrender".

The president took to Truth Social to say he knew where Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was "hiding" but would not kill him "for now".

Mr Trump has convened a National Security Council meeting in the White House situation room to discuss the conflict.

Australia's first formal truth-telling inquiry has found crimes against humanity and genocide were committed against Aboriginal people in Victoria, and has recommended that Victorian First Peoples be compensated through treaties with interest.

Since 2021, the Yoorrook Justice Commission has been tasked with investigating the past and ongoing impacts of colonisation in Victoria.

Running for more than four years until this week, it is now the longest state-run royal commission in Victoria, hearing from hundreds of witnesses over 67 days of public hearings.
