However, President Donald Trump's reaction has been controversial. Despite the escalating tensions, Trump refused to condemn Pakistan for its alleged involvement in the attack. He stated that he is “close to both India and Pakistan” and expressed confidence that both nations would resolve their issues independently. His neutral stance, while emphasizing a diplomatic approach, has been criticized for not taking a clear position and failing to fully support India’s concerns over the situation.

Trump's comments have sparked backlash, particularly in India, where critics argue that his refusal to condemn Pakistan undermines India's position. Many find his statement that India and Pakistan have been "fighting over Kashmir for 1,500 years" to be dismissive of the serious and ongoing conflict. Meanwhile, both India and Pakistan have escalated military tensions, with India increasing its military presence along the Line of Control and Pakistan closing its airspace to Indian airlines.
