May has been declared mental health awareness month by the state of Tennessee‼️👀
In Tennessee, nearly 1 in 3 children and close to a million adults are living with mental health conditions, with anxiety and depression on the rise. Despite the growing need, over 3.2 million Tennesseans live in areas with too few mental health professionals, making access to care a serious challenge.

#Trump has signed an executive order to extend the TikTok ban for another 75 days‼️🤯👀
Earlier this year, the #UnitedStates has passed legislation requiring TikTok to be sold by its #Chinese parent company, ByteDance, or face a nationwide ban. Lawmakers cite national security concerns, claiming that #TikTok could potentially share user data with the Chinese government. ByteDance has until around mid-2025 to sell TikTok before it would be removed from U.S. app stores. The company is expected to challenge the law in court, arguing it violates free speech rights.

On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee, while standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel. He had traveled to Memphis to support striking sanitation workers who were demanding better wages and working conditions. At just 39 years old, Dr. King was already a towering figure in the civil rights movement, known for his leadership in nonviolent protest and his dream of racial equality in America.
His assassination sent shockwaves throughout the nation, sparking riots in over 100 cities and deepening the country’s divisions. King’s death marked a turning point in American history, both in the civil rights struggle and in public consciousness. Though his life was cut short, his legacy lives on through his speeches, writings, and the continued pursuit of justice and equality.
