The Rockies are calling up right-hander Chase Dollander, their No. 1 prospect, to make his big league debut Sunday against the Athletics‼️🤯👀

The 2023 ninth overall Draft pick was heavily considered for a rotation spot during Spring Training. Instead, he debuted for Triple-A Albuquerque with a solid performance on Sunday, tossing five innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts.

Dollander was summoned into a meeting with coaches on Friday that was initially framed as a review of the opposition for his next Triple-A start. Eventually, though, he received the news that his next outing would not be with Albuquerque.
