Did you know that during the dark days of SEGREGATION in the United States, Black families were forced to pay TAXES that built schools their own children could not enter? While white children sat in shiny classrooms with new books and warm heaters, many Black kids sat in crumbling buildings, sometimes with no desks, no heat, and torn books passed down like leftover scraps.

This painful TRUTH is not just a forgotten piece of history — it’s proof of the strength and sacrifice that Black communities made just to claim a BASIC RIGHT: EDUCATION. Even when the SYSTEM locked them out, they built their own schools, taught their own kids at home, and stood up to unfair laws.

Stories like this remind us that every time you walk freely into a classroom today, or send your child to a good school, someone before you PAID THE PRICE for that freedom — sometimes twice. Once with their taxes, again with their struggle.

This is why we must never let these stories fade. HISTORY is more than dates and old photos — it’s the sacrifice, sweat, and HOPE that built the world we live in today.

Paris erupted into chaos on May 31, 2025, after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured their first-ever UEFA Champions League title with a stunning 5–0 victory over Inter Milan. The win was historic, with young star Désiré Doué scoring twice and assisting another goal, helping PSG deliver the largest margin of victory in a Champions League final. While the triumph marked a proud moment for the club, the celebrations quickly spiraled out of control in the French capital.

Thousands of fans gathered across Paris, particularly near the Champs-Élysées and Parc des Princes stadium, to celebrate the victory. However, joy turned to violence as some supporters began rioting — setting cars on fire, smashing bus stops, and launching fireworks. Riot police were deployed in large numbers, using tear gas and water cannons to restore order. By the end of the night, nearly 300 people were arrested. French officials, including Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, condemned the violence, calling the rioters "barbarians" who disrespected the spirit of sport.

Spain is looking to amend its Customer Service Law to block unwelcome cold-calling from businesses, something which the government promised to implement months ago. 

Under the reform companies will have to use a specific digital code/prefix when calling customers, allowing telecom operators to block any unauthorised calls from companies without the code. 

Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy said that blocking unsolicited calls would protect “the well-being and privacy of consumers.” 

Bustinduy said the measures would be introduced via amendments to the consumer rights bill which will be debated in parliament “in the coming weeks”.

According to a 2023 study carried out in 39 countries by US security company Hiya, 42% of calls in Spain in the third quarter were spam, the second-highest percentage in Europe.
